A delegation from Doha Centre for Media Freedom (DCMF) is participating in UNESCO’s first Partners’ Forum which will take place in Paris from 11 to 12 September 2018, along with representatives from governmental and non-governmental organizations, civil society bodies and private sector.

The two day forum will discuss the role of partnerships in promoting cooperative relations, achieving big goals and will enable participants to share their vision of UNESCO, its assets and the benefits of their partnerships with the organization.

The plenary session of the forum will be held on 11 September, in the presence of several high-level public figures, including Mr. Jean-Paul AGON, Chairman and CEO of L’Oréal, Mr Jean-Louis CHAUSSADE, Director General of SUEZ, Ms Cecilia SHARP, Deputy Director General, Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), Mr Mahmoud MOHIELDIN, First Vice-President of the World Bank’s Development Programme to 2030 and many others.

The programme of the forum includes 11 sessions around the objectives of sustainable development with testimonies of current UNESCO partners and examples of financing. The event will also examine concrete opportunities for partnership in various areas of UNESCO’s programme and specific resource mobilization approaches.

The event also includes an exhibition to highlight achievements realized with partners but also audio testimonies from beneficiaries in the field.
