A recent report by Gaza Center for Media Freedom documenting press violations in the occupied Palestinian territories reveals a significant decrease in media violations curried out against journalists by Israeli forces and the Palestinian governments during September 2017.

The report documented 43 violations during last month, September, most of which were committed by the Israeli occupation forces, representing significant decrease from the previews month, August 2017 which saw 63 violations against journalists and media outlets, most of which were committed by the Palestinian authorities after the implementation of the new cybercrime law in the West Bank, approved by President Mahmoud Abbas on July 25.

The center expressed deep concern about the continues violations by Israeli occupation forces and the Palestinian authorities against journalists, and sees such attacks as an attempt to hide the facts and prevent journalists from covering Israeli attacks against defenseless civilians.
