The Doha Centre for Media Freedom (DCMF) will participate in the 29th edition of the Doha International Book Fair from 29 November to 8 December 2018.  DCMF will  exhibit all its publications and media releases and will organize a number of activities and events, as well as workshops for school students and visitors.

The Centre’s participation is an opportunity to inform the public of its mission in promoting media freedom and introduce its  efforts in supporting journalistic values, in addition to communicating and interacting with visitors and school students about various media issues.

As part of its activities in the book fair, DCMF will organise two workshops.  The first one is about the basics of drawing cartoon through iPad that will be presented by Rashed, Al-kuwari.  The second workshop is about the basics of filmmaking using Stop Motion and will be presented by Aisha Alshammakh.

The booth of DCMF will host a number of activities for students of different ages, aiming at enhancing their knowledge about the role of media in society.  It will introduce the principles of  Media and Information Literacy through coloring, word learning skills and developing research and communication methods.

All the activities will be covered through DCMF social media for better interaction with the visitors.
