Another two Syrian citizen journalists die

The Doha Centre for Media Freedom that another two Syrian citizen journalists have been killed amid the ongoing uprising.

Citizen journalist, Khaled Mahmoud Kabbisho, was killed by Syrian armed forces on April 17 after he was arrested from his home in the town of Idlib in the northwest of the country.

Activist Abdullah Al Idlibi, a member of the city of Idlib’s Coordination Committee, confirmed the death of Kabbisho . Speaking to the Doha Centre for Media Freedom, he said: “Kabbisho was arrested from his home and executed. He was crashed by an army tank.”

The activist, who regularly posted videos of demonstrations in Idlib on his YouTube channel, was married with three children. His wife is pregnant with their fourth child. 

Citizen journalist, Alaa Al-Din Hassan Al-Douri, was killed after he was arrested by Syrian armed forces on April 14 at a roadblock near the city of Hama as reported by the Syrian Revolution Coordination Committee and the Revolution Command Council in Hama.

Three days after his arrest, Al-Douri’s dead body, showing signs of torture, was handed over to his family

Syrian media activist George Al Hur confirmed the death of the 44-year old Syrian citizen cameraman, Al-Douri. Speaking to the Doha Centre for Media Freedom, he said Al-Douri died because of the severe torture he was subjected to.
